All Ready For Nursery School!

I am so proud of Tristan!

Although I already knew before Tristan’s interview that he’ll do well, still I felt a little jumpy.. A typical mommy emotion, I guess.

He had his entrance examination/interview at 2pm. About 20 minutes after, his assessor talked to me and explained how Tristan expressed himself in the interview. She said, Tristan is an independent kid. He is well taught; can easily follow instructions which makes him good to go to pre-school. The assessor handed to me all the necessary papers I’ve to fill out for his enrollment. She was delighted to tell me that Tristan passed the test and interview!

My little Tristan is now ready for Nursery school!

Shattered Glass.. Up Close.

Stephen Glass’ story in the movie ‘Shattered Glass’ wasn’t a customary one. Well, not one until I’ve come to meet someone who lives a life just exactly like his.. Very.

All the while I thought I lent my hand to someone worthy. Somebody who’d value and set great store by the assistance we or I, for that matter, offered him. People who knew this person say he has the same fibs to everyone.. ‘All-but-sad-stories.’ I’d say I (we) was (were) duped. It was an experience, though; an occurrence that one wouldn’t want to happen again. Not in this lifetime.

Most of them said the person is a compulsive liar; that ‘honesty’ is definitely not his favorite word. Somebody who’s so good in lying that he himself believes what he’s saying is true and bona fide.. So is Stephen Glass. It’s a pity. They say no wonder he has no friends. No one wanted to stay close to him. Nobody wanted to believe anymore. No matter how truthful the story may be.

I wonder. Why would one want a life like Stephen Glass’? Living in lie, tall tale and all but artificial scenery..

I am thankful I am no longer in spell bind. I am not one of the audiences of the magical show anymore.

A Place In The Sun

If you want a place in the sun, you'll have to leave the shade of the family tree.

Walang Katuturan

Minsan, sa sobrang wala kang magawa, napapa-isip ka na lang..

Napapa-isip ng mga pangyayari sa buhay mo.. may katuturan man o wala. Aminin man natin o hindi, may mga nangyayari sa buhay natin na wala nga namang katuturan.. or in English, ‘nonsense!’ Yun bang mga ginawa mo na dapat mong pagsisihan kahit pilit mong pinapaniwala ang sarili mo na wala ka dapat pagsisihan.

Pwede yung nakipag-sabunutan ka sa isang kaklase mo nung elementary dahil nagkatinginan lang kayo, akala mo inirapan ka.. Hindi naman pala, banlag lang talaga siya! Pwede rin yung pinili mong sumama sa mga barkada mong wag pumasok sa school para manood ng sine sa Greenbelt3, ang mahal ng bayad.. hindi naman pala maganda yung palabas. O kaya, pwede rin yung first boyfriend mo hindi mo naman talaga gusto. Napilitan ka lang siya ang sagutin kasi siya lang kaisa-isang nanliligaw syo, dahil hindi ka naman kagandahan nung college ka.

Mababaw ba?

Pwedeng para syo mababaw lang lahat ng halimbawang binigay ko. Pero lahat nang yon, may bahid ng katotohanang nangyari sa buhay mo.. Na wala naman talagang katuturan at walang binungang kagandahan.

Para sa akin, mali ang sabihing, ‘wala akong pinagsisisihan sa mga ginawa o nangyari sa buhay ko dahil lahat yun ginusto ko..’

Bakit?

Ewan ko. Ang paniniwala ko kasi, dapat mong pagsisihan ang isang bagay na ginawa mo kung sa una pa lang mali na. Yun bang, alam mo na ngang mali o kasalanan pero ginawa mo pa rin.. Napahamak ka lang tuloy. Sabi nga ng iba, ‘you can’t completely move forward if you will not accept the fact you screwed up.’ Hindi pwedeng wala kang nire-regret at all. Malabo yun. Ang taong may sakit, hindi magagamot kung hindi niya aamining kailangan niyang magpagamot..

Lalo na sa mga taong minahal mo, kaibigan man o higit pa sa kaibigang pagtuturingan. Di ba mapapag-isip ka? ‘Yuck ang tanga ko pala! Naniwala ako sa mga kasinungalingan niya!’ ‘Ang tanga-tanga ko! Bakit ba siya pa minahal ko?!’ A failed friendship, a failed love relationship, etc, etc. May mararamdaman kang pagsisisi.. Hindi mo lang kayang aminin, madalas. Takot ka kasi. Masakit sa loob na aminin mong naloko ka.. Naloko ka ng taong binigyan mo ng panahon, pinagkatiwalaan at lalo pa, minahal. Heart-breaking.. Painful. Di ba?

Opinyon ko lang naman lahat ng ito. Ngayon kung may angal ka, at sa tingin mo walang katuturan. Hindi ko na concern yun. Di gawa ka ng sarili mong blog at tigilan mo nang kakabasa ng akin! Sa wala akong magawa eh..
