My Point Of View

Love is a wonderful feeling. If it doesn’t make you a better person, it’s okay; so long as it doesn’t make you the opposite of that.

Positive

I think I have forgotten how it is to be sad.. Well, until now. Clearly, at one point or another, we should feel such air. It’s the spice of life, as they always say.

I am in this state, presently.

Have you ever felt so down in the dumps, that you can’t imagine how will you ever survive such blow? How will you breathe, after that kick in the teeth?

I am optimistic. I am confident. I am certain. I have to be.

I will be.

You Can Always Try.

That short escape from Manila to the lovely city of Cebu made me experience a more laid back life. The day to day living there seemed more relaxed. I don’t know why.. nothing appeared different, though.

They have most of what we have here in Manila; malls (Ayala Center and SM, of course!) here and there, Starbucks coffee to your left and right, Havaianas on everyone’s feet, call centers, call center people in their jackets and shades (even if its sweating hot outside their offices), Korea shoes and bags, and there’s still a long list.. They even have traffic, as well!

They also have most of what we DON”T have here; honest cab drivers (pag P56.00 ang inabot ng meter, sister, susuklian ka talaga ng P4.00! Try mo sa Manila to.. Good luck!).

That 7-day stay in Cebu made me feel of how and what life can be when we decide to make the change. I don’t think there’d be much difference.

There’s no harm in trying..

..After all, I can always go back.

When Do You Say These?

Just last night, stories have been revealed. I’m not so sure if all of it were accurate, all the same, those are really disconcerting. I feel sorry for the people caught up in those circumstances. I deem they do not deserve to go through such misery.

Or should I say otherwise? Must one endure pain and heartache first, before he/she determines what would really make him/her happy? Must I say the one who experiences hurt and despair is more blessed than the others?
‘I’m all out.’ or ‘this is it for me!’ When do you say these?

It's Only One Thing For Me.

September’s nearing to end.. How time flies. Next thing we know, it’s the start of the year again!

Most of us (that’s me, my family and my friends) are enthusiastic about the coming holiday season. Well for one, during the holidays, everyone seems to be in good vibes (yeah! Wait till they get their 13th month bonuses, you’ll witness more than good auras! :-p). Two, it’s just that time (most wonderful) of the year, really.

There’s something about Christmas time that makes one or everyone, if I may say, feel joyful, fresh, and excited.

Maybe Christmas time brings breezy air. The lighthearted wind that touches our face makes us optimistic in dealing with life. Or maybe it’s the thought that we have survived another year. That we have managed to endure each and every setback we have bumped into. Maybe Christmas time brings hope. That the coming year will be a better one. That it’s going to be a fresh start. Or maybe, it’s all of it…

Whatever the reasons may be, its only one thing for me. Christmas time is Thanksgiving. I am all grateful and pleased that the One up there has blessed my family, my friends, all my loved-ones, and me big time! And I’m looking forward that the coming year will be just as blessed or even better than the retiring year.

So feel good… Christmas time is on its way. In a few weeks, we’ll all be hearing this everywhere, “It’s just around the corner.”

Overtime, I think we’ve discovered that love means a whole lot more than we knew when we first fell in love. We’ve weathered changes, acquired more patience, and have learned to laugh when life doesn’t turn out exactly as we’ve planned.

Sharing everything that comes our way has given us something that people never know.. a lasting commitment to each other. And that’s really what love is all about.. smiling about all of our shared yesterdays, enjoying today together, and looking forward with anticipation to all the beautiful tomorrows we have yet to share.
